Core-Net introduces a new service available to existing and new clients who have CareNet Support Contracts. These features have been added specifically for clients that do not have an experienced in-house network manager. This new support concept will save you time and money - while significantly improving our response time when it counts most.

CareNet clients NOW have the option of having their network remotely managed for:

bullet

Network fault monitoring

bullet

Verification of the Operating System(s)

bullet

Verification of tape backups

bullet

Perform bi monthly updates to the latest anti virus signature files

bullet

Install all the latest software drivers, service packs and updates and verify they are functioning properly.

We access your network remotely using terminal services, fixed IP or a 56k modem and PcAnywhere. This permits us to connect to your server and control its desktop remotely just as if we were on site. We can quickly schedule and verify tape backups, investigate network faults, install software updates, perform anti virus updates and scans.

Based on the amount of scheduled administration, CareNet hours will be deducted as required. Core-Net will take responsibility for monitoring your network for faults and verifying the backups. In the case of backups the customer is only responsible for replacing the tapes in the drive when necessary.
Peace of mind at last….

Optionally we can address backup issues or network faults on a per-incident basis. In this case the CareNet customer will be responsible for initially detecting and informing us of the problem.

If you are interested in this plan, but do not have PcAnywhere or an available external 56k modem, we are offering a specially discounted package that includes everything necessary to implement this solution.

Remote-Access Package Includes:

PcAnywhere V10.0

US Robotics 56K external modem

Serial cable

$299.00 Onsite installation included

Exceptions
:
If through remote administration we determine that it is an actual hardware problem, such as a dead tape backup device (which is rare), standard CareNet hours are charged if we have to come on site to physically replace the failed unit.

If full remote monitoring is chosen, Core-Net will be responsible for your data integrity, but obviously cannot be held accountable for such actions as tape loss, fire, damage, or demagnetization of your media. It is the clients' responsibility to securely store all their successfully backed up media in a proper environment, and to occasionally take a tape off-site in case of fire and/or theft.
